Our #1 Skin Resurfacing Treatment

What is Erbium Laser Treatment?

Erbium laser resurfacing is an advanced skin rejuvenation procedure designed to improve the tone, texture, and overall appearance of your skin. It works by precisely removing damaged outer layers of skin while stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers, revealing smoother, healthier-looking skin.

What Can It Treat?

Erbium laser treatment is commonly used to improve:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Sun damage and age spots

  • Uneven skin tone and texture

  • Acne scars and other superficial scars

  • Enlarged pores

  • Mild to moderate skin laxity

How Does It Work?

The erbium laser delivers controlled energy to the skin, gently ablating (removing) the outer layers while heating the underlying tissue. This process:

  • Promotes new skin cell turnover

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production

  • Improves skin clarity and smoothness

What to Expect During Treatment

  • A topical numbing cream or local anesthetic may be applied

  • Treatment time varies from 30–90 minutes depending on the area

  • You may feel warmth, tingling, or mild discomfort during the procedure

Aftercare & Recovery

  • Redness, swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation are common for several days

  • Skin may peel or flake as it heals

  • Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily

  • Use gentle skincare products as directed

  • Avoid makeup until skin has sufficiently healed (typically 3–5 days or as advised)

Results

  • Noticeable improvement once initial healing occurs

  • Continued skin improvement over several weeks as collagen rebuilds

  • Results can be long-lasting with proper skincare and sun protection

Is It Safe?

Erbium laser resurfacing is considered safe when performed by a trained professional. It offers precision with less thermal damage compared to some other laser treatments, often resulting in a shorter recovery time.

Who Should Avoid Treatment?

You may not be a candidate if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Have active infections, cold sores, or open wounds in the treatment area

  • Have certain skin conditions or medical concerns (consult your provider)

Pre-Treatment Tips

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 1–2 weeks prior

  • Discontinue retinoids and exfoliating products as directed

  • Stay well hydrated

  • Inform your provider of any medications or skin sensitivities
